Your choice of line will be based on its composition.
The stretch allows the line to soak up head shaking, which reduces the risk of unhooking and breakage. This feature is "forgiving": Ideal for novice anglers.
Allows you to fish with peace of mind and master big, hard-fighting fish.A strong nylon will allow you to use smaller diameters for finer fishing.
Abrasion-resistant nylon lines (that can withstand rubbing and sharp edges) are good for fishing in cluttered waters (rocks, grass, branches etc). What's more, these smooth lines guarantee better casting performance.
Fluorescent lines allow you to follow your line in all conditions (with or without current).
Braid has a higher breaking strength than nylon and allows you to fish with peace of mind and master big, hard-fighting fish in fresh and salt water.
Its near-zero stretch heightens sensitivity and gives you more control over your line.
The more flexible a braid is, the less resistance it creates during the cast.Eight strand braid will be more flexible than a 4 strand braid, with improved resistance and increased casting distance.
Coloured braid gives you good visibility wherever you are fishing.
However, we do recommend that you always use a fluorocarbon leader to keep your rig as discreet as possible.
Fluorocarbon is generally only used for leaders. Its relative stiffness compared to nylon does not lend itself to use for main lines.A key feature is its improved resistance to cutting comparted to nylon line and braid. Perfect for big predators.
Fluorocarbon offers maximum discretion: its light refraction qualities are similar to that of water, making it almost invisible. So opt for line made of 100% fluorocarbon. Its invisibility allows you to use larger diameter leaders than with nylon. It is more resistant to being cut.
