Looking for a more visual way to learn about cycling? Launched in 2013, The Global Cycling Network (GCN) is youtube channel that provides a wide range of instructional video guides. These include content about how to ride a bike, how to maintain, news on technical developments, as well as ‘The GCN Show’ a weekly news update. It also has coverage of famous international events such as the Tour De France, Vuelta a Espana and the Tour of Beijing, as well as interviews with international professional cycling events. Although GCN predominantly focuses on road cycling, it also sometimes feature the cyclo cross style of racing and mountain biking (which also has it’s own GCN channel, the Global Mountain Bike Network).

Now run by Play Sports Network a multi-channel network and subsidiary of the mass media conglomerate Discovery, the GCN is It is now biggest and fastest growing online cycling channel in world

The Hardest 100km Rides in the UK

Teamed with one of very own Van Rysel road bikes, this video sees Ollie set out to find the toughest 100km cycle in Bath, the birthplace of GCN. This means finding a route that is a continuous loop with the same start and finish line and no turns, dead ends or uphill retreats.
