why try trx training?
What is TRX training?
Total Resistance Exercises (TRX) are a type of suspension training that uses body weight via a TRX Suspension Trainer to perform various exercises. Created in 2005, it was founded by entrepreneur, TV personality and former US Navy SEAL Officer Randy Hetrick, who sought to create a completely different approach to strength training.
Today, the TRX training network includes a large global community of professional athletes and trainers, as well as beginners and experienced enthusiasts - all of whom are passionate about feeling better and living better. This simple training approach includes seven basic movements to build a better body: Push, Pull, Plank, Hinge, Lunge, Squat and Rotate.
The purpose of TRX training
This type of resistance training involves low-impact but intense exercise for your whole body, helping you build muscle and burn fat simultaneously. TRX training can also help you raise your endurance, improve your balance and stability, and boost your flexibility so you can increase your range of motion and reduce your risk of injury.
You can work out at any time, anywhere
With TRX training, you don’t have to be restricted to the same gym, neither do you have to restrict your workouts to indoor environments. Whether you fancy exercising in your living room or the park, you’re free to choose.
Work out with your body weight
You don't need to use any bulky dumbbells or barbells with TRX training, so you can get a full body workout for minimal cost. Thanks to the resistance created from the bands, each exercise involves a significant degree of muscle tension to promote balanced muscle growth across your upper and lower body.

The research behind TRX training
A study by Ace-Sponsored Research found that TRX Suspension Training helped people reduce their waist circumference, body-fat percentage, diastolic blood pressure and systolic blood pressure - key indicators of an improvement of overall cardiovascular health. Dr. Lance C. Dalleck, Ph.D, who led a team of researchers in this study, found that long-term TRX training has also been linked to the prevention of diabetes and mortality - and the holistic benefits could be seen as early as eight weeks after people started using the bands.
