HOW COOL IS SUSTAINABLE CLOTHING? OR RATHER WARM, IN OUR CASE!
A love of nature and beautiful places demands participation in the fight to save them. Hence, introducing the Mountain Hiking 100 Fleece made out of 75% recycled materials aka 9 plastic bottles.
THE BIRTH OF THE PROJECT
Everything started with Emmanuelle Francis, Product Manager of Quechua. She initiated the eco-conception idea on the Mountain Hiking 100 Fleece
"Our job is to make products; in fact I know it has an impact on nature, but I also know that we can reduce it. As a hiker and a mother, the environment is a subject that touches me personally. I love the mountains and I want to contribute to conserve them. I seized the opportunity to make a gesture that counts with the Mountain Hiking 100 Fleece an indispensable ally of hiking, it is sold widely around the world!
We worked to change both our components and our factory processes. With this first step, I hope to make hikers prefer an eco-designed product and make a gesture in return"
- Emmanuelle Francis, Product Manager of Quechua
