Use of Play.decathlon.co.uk is bound by the following Terms & Conditions. By using this website to register your details, enter an event or apply for a membership you consent to the conditions described below.
You must be at least 18 years old to use play.decathlon.co.uk. You may only use the website for registering your own details and for those of other friends, family and club mates who have granted you their permission to do so. If registering a person under 18 years of age you must obtain permission from the parent or legal guardian of the person you are registering.
When entering an event we ask for each person’s name, date of birth, gender and for any other details required by the event. When entering events on behalf of other people you must obtain their permission to provide play.decathlon.co.uk with this data before entering them. You must also ensure that they have been made aware of and read any event disclaimer displayed on play.decathlon.co.uk and that they have agreed that you can accept it on their behalf.
You take part in the Decathlon events at your own risk. You confirm that you are in a good state of health, which enables you to participate in the events without any restrictions. Decathlon accepts no responsibility or liability of any kind before, during or after the events. Decathlon is liable only for damage caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
You declare to the best of your knowledge that you know no reason why you should not participate in the events and that you are not presently suffering from (and have not suffered from) any disease or medical condition which may prevent you from participating in the events or which may be aggravated by your participation in the events.
You agree that you shall immediately inform medical personnel and the organisers of any pain, discomfort, fatigue or any other symptoms that you may suffer before, during and after your participation in the events. You accept that you may be required to immediately cease or delay your participation in the events if so requested.
You confirm that you are authorised to enter details of other individual participants, however, all participants are taking part at their own risk and that no responsibility whatsoever shall attach to any event sponsors, event directors or any persons involved in the organisation of the event for any injury, loss or damage suffered by you or your team members in or by reason of the event however such maybe caused. Please not that any participants under 12 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entirety of the event.
You confirm also that the participants you are registering match with the conditions of the paragraph “Medical Conditions” above.
To register for play.decathlon.co.uk you must provide a valid email address so we can send you confirmation of your registration and of any entries you make. If you have a Spam Filter enabled for your email account please make sure that our domain name of @decathlon.com is set as a valid sender so that these emails do not get blocked.
The email address supplied (and any email addresses given when registering other people) are being collected on behalf of the event organiser, the details may be used by the Event Organiser to send out additional information, marketing or promotional material about the events you enter. It may also be used by them for up to twelve months after the event ends to send follow-up information about the event and marketing or promotional material for other events, or services they provide.
All transactions will be conducted in Pounds Sterling. An invoice will not be supplied with the confirmation of your entry, although a confirmation email will be sent to the registered email address.
The law allows you to cancel many online purchases up to seven working days after you made the transaction - unless the service you have paid for has begun within this time. If you will be entering an event, you should note that because we will provide your details to the Event Organiser (Decathlon or any partner) immediately, the service will be considered to have begun, and you will no longer have the right to cancel. If you do not wish to waive your seven working days cancellation right in this way, you should not proceed with your entry via this website.
By entering this event, you irrevocably authorise Decathlon and the Decathlon Group to fix and record pictures and videos where you are physically recognisable, and to retain, disclose, exploit the said pictures and videos as they are or as modified. As a consequence, Decathlon holds exclusive rights of reproduction and representation for the pictures and videos from Decathlon Running Series, for any use and in any way whatsoever, in the case of any operations which Decathlon may decide to carry out (in particular for marketing and/or advertising purposes). This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use them in their printed and online publicity, social media and press releases.
The personal data and entry specific information you give will be used by both play.decathlon.co.uk and the Event Organisers for the purpose of processing and publishing entries and results.
